     The majestic

Bald Eagle

 standing on a tree stump perhaps looking for a meal. The scrimshaw is done on ancient Mammoth ivory and is mounted on a piece of ancient Stellar Sea Cow bone. The Stellar Sea cow was hunted to extinction in the mid 1700s. The ivory measures 2 1/2 inches wide and the whole piece stands 4 1/8 inches tall.
